Embrace - Wilderness Still Life

I spent a morning drawing this wonderful piece of gnarled driftwood that has been standing in shallow water on the shore of Millinocket Lake right in front of Frederic Church's camp. Eighty years ago someone took a photo of it; who knows how long it was there before that? Perhaps Frederic drew it too!
