Exhbiting in the North American Biennial of the New England Watercolor Society 2020.
I was sad to see the parrot tulips at the end of their blooming period and beaten down by rain; on my way to put them in the compost, I had second thoughts. I lay them on a piece of watercolor paper in the sunshine so that there would be shadows. I knew I would paint them. I think I like them almost better than when they were perfect.
