

The Birth of a Still Life
The Inspiration One morning about two years ago, I happened to go upstairs and saw a beam of morning sun streaming in a small window onto the floor. I quickly got a chair, a linen tablecloth out of the closet, and an old Chinese bowl that has a mended crack in the side.

My Wilderness Camp
From my second year of painting, I've gone to Katahdin Lake Wilderness Camps. It's a 3.3 miles hike from the trail head to the camps. The view of Katahdin from the shore is un paralleled; and often there is a mirror image of the mountain in the lake.
